Rolling
Luggage

There are a number of reasons to own a set of rolling luggage, not the least
of which is a sore or weak back. The variety can appear to be endless with hard shell luggage, rolling duffle bags,
expandable or drop bottom wheeled luggage, etc…
The world traveler will appreciate the convenience of a lightweight rolling luggage set, as
he stands in line waiting to clear customs. The first time I waited in such a line, I thought my arms would be
ten feet long by the time I cleared customs. The last few times, have been much easier; I just pull my luggage
along behind me. No sore back, no sore and aching arms or hands. There are rolling bags for your computer that
have roomy, safe, and secure pockets for all the travel papers, including passports.
Hard Sided Bags
The hard-side upright wheeled bags present a very safe type of luggage that will be checked on
board. Or if you are going by train, easy to lock and maintain under control. In the car or other type of vehicle,
this is easy to pack around but it will not give or mold to your space. For that reason, I suggest that you use
soft sided bags for travel by auto or truck. Motor homes have their own space for travel, but still, soft sided
rolling bags are the best bet for packing.
As for the children, each one can have his own kids
rolling luggage and pull their own stuff to and from the car, the airplane or the train. They will think that
it is fun; they are playing grown-up, and you will appreciate not having to carry their things along with your
own.
Soft Sided Bags
Many of the better soft-sided bags will have either a drop bottom or side expansion to
accomodate the extra items for your longer trips. The extra weight is not a problem since you have the capabilities
to be able to roll you luggage where you want.
The best rolling luggage gives you ease of control while pulling the bags where you want to go
as well as safely maintaining your belongings until you arrive at your destination. Be sure to check out the wheels
to make sure that they are not too small to handle the load you will be asking them to carry.
You will enjoy not having to transport everything in your arms or on your shoulders. Travel has
become increasingly complicated, so making the switch to rolling luggage can take at least some of the
physical challenges out of the equation.
