Packing cubes are actually small, soft zippered containers in which you pack similar articles. For example, the largest one in the picture can hold several pairs of jeans or pants; you can put tee shirts in the middle size and personal hygiene in the small one. They are really quite convenient when you are staying with friends or in-laws.

When staying in a hotel, it is very nice to be able to find what you are looking for without having to pull everything out of the suitcase. One of the strong points, for me anyway, is that with these packing cubes, I seem to lose fewer things. You can tell immediately if a cube is not as full as it should be, so you double check the room – again.
